Wwe billy kidman where is he now
That Kidman did succeed can be owed to an elusive mix of raw talent, good fortune and perfect timing. His good looks and willingness to perform daredevil maneuvers — particularly the spectacular Shooting Star Press — allowed him to stand out amongst the potbellies in cheap tights on the East Coast independent wrestling scene. Early on in his run, the inexperienced youngster was picked apart by rough technicians like Dean Malenko and William Regal before linking up with a grunge rock Svengali known as Raven.
Brainwashing a group of wayward competitors he dubbed "The Flock," Raven twisted the clean-cut Kidman into a flea-bitten street punk in a ratty T-shirt. Winning the Cruiserweight Championship from Juventud Guerrera that September, he fought his way to the top of a very competitive division and began showcasing his skills in exhilarating matches with Mysterio, Psicosis, Eddie Guerrero and many other standouts.
Irritated, the cocky upstart grabbed a microphone during a live broadcast of Nitro in and called out Hulk Hogan. Challenging the ring legend was a gutsy move by the youngster, but it put him in the spotlight — and gave him a contentious pinfall victory over the WWE Hall of Famer. Also, at the same time, a large number of WWE staff were furloughed at the time. This was one of many releases by WWE from among the staff that they had furloughed earlier in April.
The company went ahead with several releases, not all of which have been revelaed yet. Gerald Brisco put out a statement about his release from the company, letting the fans know that he did not bear any grudge after his 36 years working for them. Ok, want to get this out the right way. Last night I received a call from wwe Chairman Of The board VinceMcMahon to let me know after 36 years of dedication to wwe i an no longer needed.
I will still be around to help talent. More info will follow. Now, it appears, according to a report by PW Insider , that the company is bringing back other staff and producers that they had earlier furloughed, with Billy Kidman being the one whose return is known.
Billy Kidman is a veteran in the world of wrestling. Since , Billy Kidman has been working backstage in WWE as a trainer and even appeared on-screen in various supporting roles at times. These weren't WCW's best all-around days, but I don't put any of that negativity toward what Kidman was doing. We discovered he had a voice and could cut a passionate promo in the right storyline. The whining, cocky and brash attitude he displayed with the New Blood stable fit his image and style perfectly.
Unfortunately, his heel run wouldn't last forever as he switched around between heel and face in the final months of WCW.
Kidman would continue working for WWE over the next few years in cruiserweight or tag team action and win more gold. Kidman would end up leaving WWE and working the independent scene for a few years.
Finally, after retiring from in-ring action, he would acquire a role many would like to have for the job security and future potential it provides. As featured on WWE. Rarely seen by the audience in any capacity, Kidman is working with some of the best minds ever in wrestling.
At 39, I think there is great potential for Kidman still. There are many paths Kidman's career can take with WWE in the future. He is also the creator of the "Chair Shot Reality" video talk show and "Wrestling Reality" radio show. Follow JustinLaBar.
